STUDENTS DELIGHT, TEACHERS PRIDE
The National Science Day was celebrated in our school on the 28th of February, 2016 in the school hall.
It is celebrated each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect of Indian physicist ‘Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman’. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
National Science Day is celebrated as one of the main science festivals in India. And this year our school students of STD –IX participated with great enthusiasm and fervour along with their science teachers Mrs. Gloria, Mrs.Rajni, Ms.Janet and Mrs.Benaifer.They were also guided by Ms.Susan our Vice-Principal.
“The science of today is the technology of tomorrow”, says Edward Teller.
We had more than 75 students who individually portrayed their ideas through models and displays. Science helps in Nation building and therefore each child made a science project and explained the scientific principle behind each project.
Our Principal Fr.John Lopes went around and appreciated the projects which were very innovative and new.
The motive of hosting such exhibitions is to develop scientific attitude among our students.
