Everyone at Holy Name High School,Colaba campus was geared up for Independence Day. The programme was a blend of formal ceremony and the cultural performances. The National flag was hoisted by the chief guest Rev Fr.Joaquim D’Costa, the Manager Fr.Micheal Goveas accompained by the principal Fr.John Lopes and the vice principal, supervisors of the different section following this, amidst the pouring rain the troops smartly marched past led by the school band followed by the band students. The school band did a wonderful job, the students from secondary section have delivered motivational speeches speaking about the importance of the Independence Day students also expressed their emotion through melodious patriotic songs and dance performances. A large number of parents,students & staff witnessed the wonderful ceremony not allowing the rain to dampen their spirit!
