68th Republic Day
Holy Name High School celebrated our 68th Republic Day with great joy, pomp & with pride in our hearts.
Rev.Fr.Harold Vaz, The Manager of our school unfurled the national flag on the 26th of January, 2017 at 8 a.m along with the Principal Rev.Fr. John Lopes, Vice Principal Ms. Susan John, Supervisor Ms. Benaifer Postwala & Primary Head Teacher Ms. Shilpa Gorsalves, Students and Staff members.
Ms.Mahek Memon the topper of our school ( 2016 – 17 ) at the S.S.C, was our chief Guest along with her parents. She gave a fitting message to the entire gathering on how academics & extracurricular activites play a vital role & is of great importance in shaping one’s character and life. She also spoke about the girl child, If a girl gets educated a family gets educated. She also said that an individual can make a difference to society and to the nation at large.
Exercise playes a very important role in our life and we need to keep our bodies fit and fine. Our Primary students performed the Pyramid display showcasing their talents through different formations. It was a wonderful performance.
A soldiers life is very difficult & hard. They sacrifice their lives for this motherland ‘ India “. They encounter tremendous difficultics while defending our country “ Life is not so easy “ at the “ Line of control” Very often they enter the jaws of death on the snow capped mountains. So through their dance performances we salute the brave hearts of our motherland , who live and die with dignity. Let us cherish their patriotism & zeal.
The beautiful dance performances were choreographed by Mr. Sapan, Summit Dance Academy & Primary students performed the Pyramid display choreographed by MR. JACKSON GONSALVES.
